Market Monitor

Your journey begins at the top left of the platform under Market Monitor.  Select the region and market content you are interested in by hovering over Market Monitor.  Four (4) regions of content are available: North America, EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

There are subsections in each region that users can access (where applicable): Market Overall, Industry, Sub-regions, Market Segments, Ratings and Benchmarks.

Market Overall:  This landing page will provide a comprehensive view of the region you selected.  Feature Stories, News, ratings data, primary and secondary statistics.

Industry Landing Pages:  Specific coverage for select industries in your region.

Market Segments:  Specific coverage for selected market segments in your region (if applicable).

Sub Regions:  EMEA and Asia Pacific regions contain relevant Sub Regions with comprehensive Landing Pages for each.

Ratings:  Ratings Overall provides are grouped into relevant buckets where applicable with comprehensive Landing Pages for each.

Benchmarks:  North America’s LPC 100 and EMEA’s Top 40 Leveraged and Non-Leveraged Top 30 Secondary Benchmark Landing Pages.

Subsections also include Analytics which is a link to Refinitiv LPC content covering relevant market themes and trends for the Region selected.

Selecting a region and subsection will deliver you to its applicable Landing Page. Components of a Landing Page include News & Features, Leaque Tables, Analytics, Secondary Highlights, Databank, Ratings and Facilities.

NEWS: In the center of the landing page you see the Feature Stories section, containing reports from LPC’s loan market-dedicated staff of editors and reporters. Below that is Refinitiv Loan Connector’s Breaking News feed, which is customizable by current page (based upon your landing page settings), global news (all news, every segment, every region), secondary market news (news on entities in your region who trade loans) and most popular news (stories in your region that are being clicked on the most). Choose from a set of established date ranges in the “date range”  drop-down box, or “set custom” to create your own range.

LEAGUE TABLES: A quick way to find and review LPC’s published League Tables from the most recent Quarter End for the region that you are viewing.

ANALYTICS: Allows a user to find and review current analytics for the region they are reviewing. Search functionality inside the tab allows a user to find historical data by region and date.

SECONDARY HIGHLIGHTS: A popular feature from our retired SMi platform, this tab shows loans that reflect daily price moves.  Scroll to view a number of criteria.  Positive moves are reflected in green, while decliners are reflected in red.  Search loan information for that day, that week, or that month.  Information can be downloaded or added to a WATCHLIST.

DATABANK: Another imported function from SMi, this tab provides meaningful stats on Primary and Secondary facilities.

RATINGS: Updated daily, this tab shows the most current issue and issuer ratings over the last 30 days.  You can further filter this data by clicking on a series of tabs: upgrade, downgrade, new ratings and watch changes, which shows any issuer who has been placed on a watch by the ratings agencies.

FACILITIES: A list of every active facility (as determined by LPC) in the market and segment you’ve selected; results can be filtered to show only those with an “active secondary price”.  Date is sortable by column headings in blue across the top of the frame.  From your results, click the borrower name to go to the company page, click the tranche type to go to loan’s detail page, click the LIN to go to the Instrument page or click the box next to the borrower name to add the facilities to a watchlist.

Landing Pages also contain relevant “Data Boxes” running down the left side of the page.

The Ratings Data Box diplays the 5 latest Issue and Issuer Ratings for that Landing Page.

The Company Hotlist shows the top 25 companies queried in the week by our customers in that region.

Data Bank reveals both primary and secondary market statistics for that region and segment.  

Secondary Bid Highlights showcases daily movers in the secondary market for that particular region and segment.
